I am thinking about picking up a rear solo type cowling from a '90 GSXR750 and trying to fit it to my '86. Anybody done it? I know from some of the bikes I see on the board that anything is possible but is it a big chore? I guess I'll need the correct seat to match the cowling and probably some other odds and ends (tail light) but it seems very do-able. Just looking for some input.

Thanks.

John

You'll have to figure out where the plastic/fiberglass can be mounted to the sub frame. You might have to make brackets. You could cover it in race seat foam if you get a total cowl from Airtech or Beasley. Lights are easy, radioshack or Lockhart/Phillips can set you up there.

Depends if you have the tools, time and ability. I'll bet you can do it.

Thanks Simon, I think I may give it a shot if the auction doesn't go too high.
