I’m looking at an 06 Gsxr 750. It has the set valve delete and currently the finlight is on. From what I’ve read the light can be disabled by removing pin 30 wire from the ecu connector. It appears to be the black connector if I’m not mistaken. I have a few questions. Does this pin 30 wire disable the fi light from coming on in the instance of another fault detected with the system? Or just for the set valve? Also I’ve seen 2 separate videos showing what plug to pull the pin from. They each showed the plug on the opposite side of the bike. One showed the black connector on the clutch lever side and the other on the brake lever side. Both indicated it was the black connector not the gray but they were in different positions. Why is this? Also I’ve read a few posts of people who disconnected pin 30 and their bike won’t start. Is this simply because they may have disconnected the wrong wire? Or does this sometimes happen even when the correct wire is disconnected. I basically am wondering if I can get this light off if I purchase the bike. Attached is the 2 videos I watched showing the connector located on different sides.

I’ve recently stumbled upon something known as a servo buddy. Could this work if I purchase the bike? Just plug it in to the connection?

One does not need pics to find pin 30. Look at the black ECM connector with the clip oriented at the top. The pins are numbered L-R, top row, followed by bottom. That's in the thread...

The reason I linked you to THAT page and not the SET specific page is so that you would see the dealer mode post, too.

Must I hold your hand?
