i was riding on the interstate, and i was coming to my exit , pulled my clutch in, and the engine did not do anything and stayed at whatever rpms i was at. This has not happened all night, it was out of nowhere. Luckily i made it home by having to dry shift, and i get home and had a leakage on the coolant side , but it felt oily so i thought it mightve been some sort of clutch fluid. However, when i pulled the clutch in to start the bike, it worked, but stalled as soon as i kicked down into first with the clutch in. Does anyone know what mightve caused this ?

elaborate, you pulled in the clutch and the "engine did not do anything and stayed at whatever rpms i was at" what RPMS was this? what are you saying here? the throttle stopped working? it wouldn't drop down to idle? rpms remained at wheel speed?

"had a leakage on the coolant side" where exactly is the coolant side and what was leaking? coolant, engine oil and brake fluid are all 3 totally different and should easily be discernible, by smell, taste and feel....

smell some engine oil on underside of fill cap, then coolant radiator cap.. then brake fluid off reservoir cap, inhale fresh coffee beans a few times to clear pallet in between smells and after last, then smell said fluid, you should be able to remember what it is exactly? or trace where its leaking from?

I was on the highway, i pulled in the clutch and the rpms didnt drop at all, they stayed at 4k. When i got home , it stalled as i came to a stop. I pulled the clutch in and started the bike, once i put it in first, it died. We also noticed a blueish oily liquid on the left side. I never noticed a burning smell either.

Meaning it would start? It sounds like you got home dry shifting and ended up with it in neutral. All that pulling the clutch in did was to close the clutch switch. Can you move the bike with the engine off if you put it in gear and push it with the clutch pulled in? I'm expecting no. This sounded like the seal on the clutch release cylinder was leaking, possibly putting air into the clutch hose. But your comments about brown/half-burnt plates suggest that more is going on. Perhaps the clutch wasn't fully engaging because of release cylinder funniness and was slipping in the higher gears.

The clutch fluid is just brake fluid. It isn't as slippery as motor oil but is somewhat so and is water soluble. I've read here that, unlike the coolant, it somehow gets dirty like the motor oil. The piston is mislabeled as Bleeder in the parts fiche. I gather that it isn't sold separately but the seal, labeled Cup, is. That might be part of your problem. Remove the release cylinder and take a look. You can check that the piston moves but you'll have to push it back by hand. I like the idea of checking to see if the pressure plates are moving/releasing but, given where you are, you really ought to remove the clutch cover.

P.S. I'm no grammar Nazi and make my share of typos but it's "palate" not "pallet". There's also "palette".
