Hello (Ladies and) Gentleman,

I am facing a little problem with the fork of a friend.
We want to service the forks and respring it.

In fact we need a special tool to set the spring free.
Sadly we have no chance to get this tool in our country. We have to build it by ourselves. The tool i am talking about is something like a oversized allen key.
Is somebody here who can tell me which size it is?

NO idea on the size, the cap is a 45mm, try this tool from SUZUKI, 09940-84710 they call it a rod guide case wrench, good luck. You may want to also try RACE TECH, they may have an alternative.

The only allen key shaped tool that I see mentioned in the service manual is an actual allen wrench used to adjust the spring pre-load. Is that what you're talking about? If not where is the tool mentioned in the service manual?

The rod guide case wrench is 09940-84710.
