Re: HAS ANYONE INSTALLED 04 GSXR750 MOTOR IN A 2000 GSXR750

hybridracing.com ? makes the brackets, expensive for what you get tho

i have a 2000 gsxr750 frame and i think a 2001 gsxr1000 engine, radiator, wiring harness, instrument clusrer, exhaust pipe.

-the ignition sw wiring differes.
-the fuel gage resistor may have gone away
-a suzuki tool is needed to remove the engine
-for what you get, may work tho.

No suzuki tools are needed to remove the motor. A socket set, screw driver and hammer is all you need.

Ive dropped my motor a bunch and even did a 1k swap.

HAS ANYONE DONE THIS MOD AND WHAT IS NEEDED. THANKS. YES I KNOW A 1000 IS EASIER AND MAKES MORE SENSE BUT IM STILL CURIOUS.
Good question... I just blew the motor on my 01 750 and I have the chance to get an 04 at a decent price... just wondering how difficult it would be.

i soon will have a spare 00 gsxr750 engine, for whatever spare parts or rebuild, cyc2&3 have lo compression, produces only 100hp, have compression figures & curve someplace.

you will need a conversion kit, they are expensive for what you get, these people should know what year engine goes into what frame.

get the 04 instrument cluster, wiring harness, headers/exhaust, ecu, oil cooler and radiator

so far my 01 gsxr1000 engine into a 00 frame project is good.
