Guy in Z06 actually raced me

So I know that I wrote that the guy backed out but I was wrong. My friend just didn't get back to me in time. So we raced like 6 times and of course I won each time. That car has some balls though. We did 50mph roll ons where I proceeded to jump about 4 or 5 car lenths on him. When I hit 170 is where the power started to affect me becuase it was cutting off. This is where he started to slowly catch up. We did take video so I will post it. 2nd gear roll ons from 75, well we didn't get an accurate run cause of traffic. I started in 2nd and we just stayed in one lane with me behind him. When we took off I kept flying right up on him bumper and would have to back off cause I couldn't get by. Same with 3rd. When I could get by, I was doing 160 and I just couldn't make it. He slowly pulled from me. The guy was the coolset guy ever though. Not a dick. Big burly 40 year old dude with kids. He said his wife is the one that tries getting him to race bikes. Funny shit. He's got some more he's doing to the car so he wants to some back up and race again. I'm sure he'll catch me a lot sooner then. Thanks for everything.

agree, but i agree in a nicer way. be safe bro.
With you behind the Vette, you were drafting him. If you started side-by-side, because of aerodrag, your acceleration rate after about 125-130 would be slower. He probably has a coefficient of drag around .30 and you are somewhere aroung .5+. That has a big impact on accereration at the higher speeds because aero drag increases at the square of the rate increase. He'll catch & pass ya at the higher speeds quicker if you are in different lanes...
I raced a kid on a BMX bike last week! SMOKED HIM!

FAR from a BMX bike. :wtf
The 2006+ ZO6 is a 10 second car from the factory.
Once any 1997+ Corvette is properly turbocharged (APS, Lingenfelter, etc),
you will find them to be a worthy competitor for the new 1000cc bikes.

Your statement does not say much about you;
or your knowledge.

To those that want to use the forums to scold other members like children:
YES, we all agree that racing should be done at the track.

But,
we are talking about 9 second/ 186mph race bikes with license plates.
You sound like hypcrites.

Nice to hear about the new Corvette getting some recognition in the bike forums.
Glad the Corvette owner was a nice guy as well.

Relax TT! The new corvette kicks ass, anyone can tell you that. just busting his chops a bit. But if you are looking for someone to lick your balls cuz you beat a vette on the street with other cars in the same vecinity then your in the wrong forum or wrong site for that matter.

And regarding my knowledge about, well I'm not sure what type of knowledge your looking for, but I have test driven the new Z06 and almost drove one off the lot back in May coming back from the Indy 500. Not to dumping over 25K into a 65 El Camino when I was 19 that would do 13 second quarter miles on a stock peg leg rear end and no weight in the bed. And a 12 second 64 Bug that would wheelie off the line everytime and smoke most chevy's.

So relax that butt hole and welcome to the forum! :cheers

WTF, it aint even your post! EAT A DICK.

Until they run into a properly turbocharged and comparably modded 1000cc bike or busa...It's game over.

When it comes to streetable performance bikes will always have an edge...Especially in the 1/4 provided a proficient rider is doing it.

What's up Big Perm...i mean, Big Worm??? haha

It is obvious that you haven't raced any of the Northeast TN BMX bikes...you would have been surprised.

The handlebar tassels sold locally provide an extra 5-10HP, when you accompany that with a Red Bull can crammed between the rear hugger and the back tire...that makes for kick ass bike. The power/weight ratio we have over cars doesn't compare to the power/weight ratio of the proper rider on a properly tuned BMX bike.

I raced a kid on a black BMX a few weeks ago. I eventually took him...but it was after i hit redline in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. He got the jump on me and he was peddling his ass off, he had 2 bike lengths on me up until we hit about 140mph or so...then i got him because he got tired. If he had actually drank that Red Bull...it might have been a different story.

Before all of the hating starts...don't worry, we were on the track.

I was getting my ass kicked by this BMX riding 10 year old until the baseball card in his spokes fell off. Then it was all me!!!

We had a guy on one of those vettes try to ride with us one Sunday morning in the country roads, it wasn't fun for him at all. I've seen Subaru WRX STis corner faster. But I'm not really a car guy anyways so...

Nice plug...
But I'm afraid the tone of the original post in this thread sounded really immature (we aren't in highschool anymore).... Regardless of how much you love and caress your C6...

So don't get your panties in a bunch... no one was talking shit about your car, it was merely a comment about the guys maturity level... Why don't you invite him to your corvette forum, maybe yall relate better to each other.

Love,

Dr. Phil.
Plus, you have to take into account ---- the price difference.
I agree that Corvette is a sweet car...But whats the cost..

10 000$ Gixxer running 9s Can't be that bang for the $$

Anyway my rush in not in top speed or I would have a turbo charged busa.
Me I'm all about the wheelies...so Gixxa all the way....

:lol
now that is funny! haha
Well we know now who here is addicted to speed and who are just followers.:rolleyes I am deeply into cars AND bikes. Apples to Oranges. They both go extremely fast, they both require lots of skill and work to be driven correctly and both require certain taste. If you don't like something does not mean you have to bash it or try to justify why your shit is better. Get over it I would buy that corvette any day of the week if I had the money. I bought a Gixxer because its easier to get away from cops, you don't get hassled as much around here, and because to run 9's and still be streetable is awesome. I bought a Gixxer because I LOVE to carve in a car or bike. Its just much harder on the street with a bike to carve because a tiny patch of gravel can mess your whole day up.:eek:hmy If you don't like cars the STFU and quit whining. Would you like some cheese with all that whine? Cars will have something bikes will never have! Class.
