Gsxr 600 water pump replacement help!

Hey guys I’d appreciate any insight here. A few weeks ago I was riding my bike around my block and when I returned home and shut it down I noticed an oil leak coming from the water pump area. It looked identical to the leak that other users here have experienced with their water pump o-ring. I didn’t want to go through the trouble taking apart the water pump so I purchased an entire new unit online. Today it got here and I installed it without issues. I filled up on oil once again and there goes the leak continuing to flow out of that Same area. Did I do something wrong with my installation or is the source of the leak coming from somewhere else.
