Hi guys I was recently getting some knocking on my motorcycle thought it would be the rockers or lifters but those were completely fine I wanted to ask if the timing chain tensioner is supposed to move like this here is the link to the video please lmk

Can you compress the plunger? Move the little notch out of the way, and push it in, and make sure you can only push it in when the notch is unlocked.

If you installed it right and you can still hear the cam chain clattering, then you probably need a new tensioner or a manual CCT.
