So as you probably know, I live very close to a major junior hockey team, the Texas Tornados. Last night they played the 2nd place team in their division (the Texarkana Bandits) and WOW was that a great game!!! There was only one fight, but the hockey action itself was awesome. The skating, passing, playmaking, everything...it was really fun to watch. There was a group of people who were Texarkana fans who came to watch the game. Their "leader" kept having them chant stuff and was mostly just annoying. Towards the end of the game, he had 2 empty plastic Miller Lite bottles in his hands that he kept banging together. A cop walked by and he threw one of the bottles at him (after the cop had turned his back). What he didn't see was the other cop coming up behind. They came and got him and forcibly removed him from the arena. He was struggling with the rather large police officers and they took him downstairs and put cuffs on him. Then of course their whole section was up in arms because the cops were, "abusing their poor leader," I'm sure is what they were thinking. It was GREAT!!! The guy (who was getting arrested) his hot-head son ran up to the cops and stuck his finger in their face and the cop grabbed his mace and was about to unload. It was kind of funny but kind of amazingly stupid how these people were acting. Anyway, GREAT game nonetheless. The Tornados scored the game winning goal (4-3 was the final) with 12.4 seconds left in the game. It was pandemonium.
