I recently bought a L7 for track use. Had a K7 before.
What are the best sprockets on the track. On the K7 I had front sprocket 1 tooth smaller and the rear 3 bigger.

On the L7 the same? (Original = 17 - 45)

I used 17/46 and 17/45 last year. OEM gearing fells really good because bike has so much mid range.

I like using the 17 front because it has larger diameter and helps chain wear but...... using a 16 front and smaller rear can give you options to position rear wheel in different location on swingarm.

Thanks, I bought it just in time for the snow to fall :facepalm.
The original plan was to wait until the new year to get one but I was afraid all the 6 days ones would sell out.

No I have not but, I could go but a new panigale v4 r with what I spent on my GSXR.
Don't get me wrong I love what you are doing, and it is awesome!

I very much appreciate the effort to build a est 40k GSXR and seeing all the parts.

I would rather do what you are doing over getting a bike that I have to wait on parts for or don't know how to fix.

I have been dreaming about an R1M for years and now the BMW1000RR, for now though I am build a second bike just for track and doing it for as cheap as I can.

So it is fun to watch it come together. I wish you would have recorded the build and posted it to youtube as well, I love watching those videos.

My plan is to get a salvage title 600 Supersport class or SV650 bike and fix it up for a track. I figure if I get a slower bike I can work on my riding skills.

Regardless thanks for posting the shots it is very cool to see all the toys we all dream of owning.

It is snowing outside so I figured great time to start the AIM wiring fun.
Carbon bracket to mount the add on AIM components.
You use of carbon fiber plates are nice. What type of hardware did you use in the application for the AIM components? Rivnuts maybe? ??Also did you have to use some epoxy to secure the hardware that will hold the bolts?

Take another look....
It already has them.
Oh I didn't see it on the parts list, let me add it.

I went through the entire thread and created a parts list trying to follow along. I had no idea what those parts cost my 40k estimate is now closer to 100k and after checking with my buddy he said that is the average entry price for a pro level superbike. Here is the list check it out let me know things that are missing.
