My set of gauges the speedo and tacho needles shake like hell and are not steady.

Speedo is easy as I guess I just need to replace the speedo cable - old and grabbing.
However the tacho is electric.

Any idea what I need to do to get this to work properly?

Cheers

Have heard
" The rubbers where the speedo is mounted in get tired and saggy, which causes the speedo to rest on the metal bracket, and vibrate"
and possibly if not sorted will snap the needles.
Worth a look

At Worst, there are small fluid pots on the axle of the gauge needles. These are filled with a dampning liquid. Over time the liquid leeks out or 'evapourates' and needs to be replaced. This is why gauges should not be stored face down. This is possibly not your issue as the tacho is a stepper motor and should not suffer the jitters. Just letting you know
