might be a stupid question to some of us but, can you run a g-pack and a tre at the same time? (2000 model gsx-r 600 tre-jsd-2a) and one more thing does that jsd-2a tre that they sell on this website come with and switch on it so you can cut it off and of and do you have to cut those two wires with this on or does it has male and female ends??

from my investigations, i can hardly find any info on the g-pack to suggest it is infact anything different from a tre

they are one and the same

nikko have you believe it is active at certain rpm - this is total bullshit as it connects to the gear position sensor and nothing else

there are no connections to the ecu to actively adjust an other parameter

i say if you must get a tre - but beware, this locks the ecu into a 5th gear fuel map at any gear and from experience bolloxes up the fueling low down rpm

As I recall, the jsd comes in two flavors, switched, or not switched. Both have stock connectors, so there's no cutting or patching necessary. To echo what the other guy said, the gpack is a TRE. TRE just fools the ECU to make it think it's always in 5th gear, which changes the timing a bit in the three lowest gears (thus:Timing Retard Eliminator-TRE).
