Bought a used 98 GSXR750 with a full Yosh titanium exhaust instaled. After a short ride, I noticed that some of the plastic bodywork was being burnt from the exhaust header pipes actually touching the plastic. I contacted Yosh and sent them digital pictures of the installation. It was found that there was mounting hardware missing from the mid pipe hanger and the mid pipe mounting bracket was cracked. After having a specialty weld shop fix the broken titanium bracket, and installing the missing mid pipe bracket grommet and insert, Isee that the pipe still touched the plastic bodywork in a couple of places, one of the exhaust header pipes is sitting up against the oil pan, and the carbon fibre muffler will not align with the right side passenger foot peg. Is this a high exit pipe? Am I stil missing a special mounting bracket? I could use any help or suggestions you can offer.....

on my gixxer, the mid pipe touch the lower fairing as well, what previous owner did was to put High heat resistance types between them.. it works find.. my lower is stil there after 2 weeks riding.

as john said, post some pix. Yosh pipes are mostly designed to not interfere (just installed mine a month ago and it fits gr8)with any of the stock plastics - that is -- if the plastics are in there stock condition/location. it might be that the pipe is close, but the plastics are tweeked. But it seems the pipes are somehow misaligned alittle too. Get the product id # off them - could this be the WRONG midpipe????

My full Ti Yosh system did the exact same thing, until it melted pretty well through the plastic down there. I took that piece off and took a dremel to it, looks nice and factory now. Flared out slightly notched to clear the midpipe.

is it possible that the ti pipes dont have the tolerances of the aluminum/stainless ones

????????*gsxr freak....?) but the issue of the mount bracket being absent leads me to think someting is suspect.......
