I am sure this has been asked before but I am asking anew.

Who has converted their bikes to fuel injection?

Not for turbo but normally aspirated?

What throttle bodies did you use?

I am asking this here because I have seen a working setup, albeit with turbo (which the guys i going to go normally aspirated). He is using 40mm throttle bodies from a CBR with a 12-1 pickup and Spitronics ECU.

What size can one go to on these 1100's especially if modified? I have seen sizes like 44-46mm on the GSXR600s and as big as 50mm on the 750 K6/7

I have a GSXR1100W with 46mm Hilborn throttle bodies and Microsquirt ECU. It showed up a weakness in the charging system being able to keep up with the increased current draws, especially at sustained low rpm's. I adapted a 45 amp Triumph alternator to cure the problem.

Awesome. Good to know about the charging system. Didn't even think of that even though I know FI uses a bit more power.

What other mods have been done to the motor?

Did you see a major improvement with the injection setup over carbs?

1299cc race motor with SBM billet block. Ended up producing as much power as with the FCR41's, but with more complexity. I have gone back to the FCR's. Might be better with larger TB's, but you still have to match up to the smaller manifolds on the head. I have kept all the gear and may revisit one day.
