I already know they are a 50/55mm diameter. Spindle center to caliper mounting face is 111.5 and a few other dimensions. What I don't know is triple clamp fork center to center. Triple clamp offset. Fork spacing at wheel spindle clamps. And outside to outside of wheel bearings. Any help would be much appreciated

Double check the fork length.

On most of the later BPFs the outer tube tapers above the lower triple making dropping them down using fork cap extenders to increase front ride height problematic.

You need to swap both upper and lower triple. I'm not sure, but the ignition might be in different location and you won't be able to use steering lock. :dunno

See JK750's table above. You'll have to somehow deal with the BPF's lower diameter of 55 mm versus the K6's lower triple clamp fork diameter of 54 mm. People claim to have bored the K6 lower triple to accept the 56 mm diameter of the K7/K8 forks, something that sounds to me like it's removing too much material. MAYBE it would be OK to expand it by 1 mm (.5 mm/.020" on the radius).

You would get 2mm less offset with new triples. I don't think the stock forks are that much different. I have Andreani cartridge kit installed to my K9 forks.

I'm inclined to agree. You're either going to have to pay for some custom machining (which is going to be somewhat tricky on a one-off basis) or swap the triples (which will alter the fork lock and change the steering geometry - slower response), all for a modest difference. It's not like the K9 had greatly improved suspension. Suggest that you look for some different cartridges.

Ok yes, its just my inner legs are badly worn, and need replacement. I already have Ktec valving, think I will settle with new inner legs and busching, then.

I see K5/K6 forks on ebay for around $250-$350. As I recall, one had a dented upper but was off a 2400 mile bike. That's probably going to be the same sort of money as to machine the triple clamp. Obviously there are shipping issues to Denmark. A trick I learned from Kyle Racing is to ship them in a gun case.

I have a nice cnc top triple that is adjustable from 28-30mm offset and the fork legs are spaced 207mm apart. Are the k9+ lower triples 207mm apart as well so I can use my top triple with the k9 lower triple.

The chart is maintained on tlzone.net and I can advise Sam of the additions. But don't tell me "yes" unless you're sure of it as Sam only wants correct information, not guesses. Sam is recovering from a bad head injury and doesn't need any extra aggravation. I see that some rake errors and other additions remain uncorrected.

I've started maintaining my own version of the chart in Excel spreadsheet format. I can make it public if there's any interest.

K1-L1 1000 Front wheels are interchangeable, don't know about L2->. Meaning all the dimensions that affect wheel alignment are the same (same spacer that is used from K5). You could ask him to correct KXX to LX and K0-K3 600/750 to Y-K3 750.
