I have what I beleive to be a 2010 gsxr100 motor in an atv frame.
External fuel pump and pressure regulator (50psi)
Open stock headers with exhaust valve removed
Stock air box with aftermarket filter
Power commander V
It runs amazing around the neighborhood and has lots of power below 8k rpm's in any gear wide open but breaks up after that. If you roll back to 80% throttle there is no hesitation in will run up to 12k rpms, but as soon as you pass the 80% mark its like you turned the switch off untill you roll back off the throttle and it pick right back up.
The FI light is on but the only codes it throws is for the exhaust servo and Steering damper that are not installed on the bike.
I have tried 6-8 different maps, another 5 maps a made, taped off half of the air intake all with very minimal changes to the performance.
Please help!

It sounds like a fuel delivery issue. Losing power in the proximity of when the secondary injectors start opening up points to insufficient injector flow;they may be clogged.

I've had the exact problem you are describing,on a K5 1K that had very low miles and had sat with fuel in the tank for more than a year. I swapped a fresh, spare set of TB's on and the bike ran 110%. The stumbling/bogging/hesitation/sputtering refusing to rev past 7500-8500rpm issues were gone.

The ECU is the same between the K9-L1. L2 and up,is an entirely different ECU,so I doubt the ECU is your problem.

Thank you (that makes sense)
Iam assuming the secondary injectors arent kicking in untill 80%+ throttle above 7500-8500rpm and the ecu is probably stepping down the duration time of the primary injectors at this point the secondarys are not kicking in leaving a lean stumble. At this point backing the throttle down a small % will make the ecu drop the secondarys and step the duration time back up in the primarys and instant power is restored like a flip of a switch.

am I understanding that correctly? or am I just building false logic around my issue?
Iam going to ground out each secondary and see if they are spraying
Nailed IT!! thank you oldgixxer!! just confirmed only 1 on the secondays if spraying fuel when energized
Wow, the new guy listens, learns, applies what he's told and is appreciative! Goodonya :thumbup

@Cody.courteaux, while it might seem potentially smart-assed of me to point that out, it's not. It's just refreshing to see a normal, mature response, in stark contrast to 'someone else' who has been given advice out here for the past few weeks.

'courteaux'.... is there some frenchy in 'ya?
French Canadian Iam told, comes from the Cajun side of my family in New Orleans. Iam no stranger to motorcycles, have a bit of schooling and a bit of experience with Japanese power sports. Always looking to learn more and the best knowledge comes from experience (even if it's someone else's experience). All inputs are greatly appreciated.
I pulled and cleaned all 8 injectors, all are spraying nicely but one secondary is sticking open now so I may have to replace it. Will not have a chance to mess with it anymore till next week. I will let you guys know how it runs on its next test hit. (Black Widow Drag ATV)
Thank you (that makes sense)
