Just purchased a spare 96 750 engine, what do you guys recommend doing if it will be stored for 6mths to a year? It is a used engine.

pull the plugs, put some oil on them and in the cyls, plug all the hoses, get out any gas/gunk from the bowls

plug the exhaust ports, change the oil in it when you go to use it,

i've also heard to fill the engine right up to the filler neck with oil to prevent corrosion from condensation etc.

i believe there is a fogger you can spray inside which will temporarily line the interior, preventing surface corrosion.........it isnt permanent and burns off when the motor is run...........
