Hi,

i just joined.

Need advice to increase HP on my 2018 Suzuki GSX150 race bike.

I have just started Bucket racing in New Zealand and am keen to make my bike faster.

I have replaced factory carb for a flat slider carb.
I have removed all excess weight.
Installed a 48Tooth rear sprocket (was 45T) for better acceleration. Might also change front sprocket to an 11T from a 14T.

Changed carb jets to a 115 main jet and a 42 pilot jet, changed needle clip to to one notch up from middle so is running a little leaner.

With all these changed i managed to improve from 51second laps to 48.5 second laps.

What else can i do to get more power?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

um, yea they generally don't offer much even when you throw a bunch of money at em, its kinda funny someone asking for more HP fora 150, at best you wont get more than 3-5hp regardless, is that going to be enough?

Its a racing class, not many 150cc road bikes out there that have decent HP anymore. Suzuki FXR150’s are really hard to find these days.

hunting around for a cheap Yamaha R15 but even new ones still don't match old FXR150.

I also have an FXR150 I bought for $1000nzd, getting 46 seconds on that and it’s completely stock.

what kinda rules are you up against? there's always the small things you can do on the cheap, compression, jets or mapping, intake or airbox mods, better oil, race fuels, then of course if you're going into the internals and you have plenty of cash..... there is a dood on youtube took that honda 175 was it and really bumped it up but how does his build compare to your rules? he did a lot to that engine get like 35 out of it was it? he opened the head up custom cams, pistons, crank, bearings, the works, you might eek out 10 if you toss a bunch of money at it but then it's only going to be race reliable, more money makes it more reliable of course....

max CC is 159cc. Can do anything to motor, maps, carb jets and all.

just need to know what i can change to get it quicker.

Searching for a 160cc big bore kit

also searching for an 11T front that will fit, other option is get one cut/machined but that costs $$$

i think I could even fit a small turbo hahaha

Id do compression, jets and pipe, maybe even ball bearing internals, if ya got cash then they can work those heads over or you can get one already build with larger valves and intake rails, balance it all real nice.. work the crank over, maybe even knife edge, polish, balance.. trick piston and rings, go for it, you might end up with 18.765 hp.. me figers at this level get it running real good, then work on skills, if you can beat em up in the corners that little edge on the straight won't be enough for them.. wheels, brakes, suspension, may be your best bet here, cuz you have to look at it, that little HP difference wont make up for what they are doing to you in the corners, and you only have to be a tenth or so quicker each segment than they are to win.. work on skills man, you can take the skills with you all the way to the top..
