You will need to change your sprockets over to a 520 also. The stock chain is a 530.
I JUST put a 520 chain & sprockets on my 86 750, I changed the gearing from stock 14-42 to 14-45.
The rear sprocket is so light (alum)I can hardly feel it compared to the stock (steel) one.
If you can wait a few weeks I can give you my input on the gearing change.
Sprocket specialties can hook you up wiyh the correct sprockets

how do you change the gearing and what difference does it make ??

Add a couple teeth to the rear sprocket, your bike is the same as mine. It should have 14 teeth on the countershaft sprocket & 42 on the rear. The # of teeth will be stamped on the rear sprocket. Now on mine I added 3 teeth to the rear which will make the bike quicker, but I will lose a little top speed. My RPM's will be a little higher riding down the freeway but not enough to worry about.

i was wondering about buying this chain ?? right now i have like stock sprockets and was wondering what type i would need to run this chain?? any imput will halp thanks?

what are you opinions on this chain??
