Anyone know the top speed for each gear of a 01 GSXR 750?

I remember seeing 81mph yesterday in 1st before running out of room and nerves. I think I hit 117mph in 2nd, before shifting. Those two gears pull hard. Speedo seems to be a little slow on acceleration.

If you've got your owners handbook, you can work it out,it has all the gear ratios printed near the back page.

A good estimate can be achieved by noting your speed at exactly half revs in top gear, then doubling that speed to give top speed at redline.

Example... Your redline is 14000RPM. If, at 7000RPM your speedo reads 90MPH, your top speed at redline is 180MPH.
Now, multiply 180 by your top gear ratio (lets say 1.2) = 216, then divide the result by your fifth gear ratio (lets say 1.5) to give fifth gear top speed at redline:

216/1.5 = 144MPH.

Just continue for the other gears.

Note:
If you're running STOCK gearing, your speedo shouldn't be more than 5MPH optimistic at half revs.
Hope you find this useful.
