I'm in the market for some sprockets and was recommended to use the Drive Systems sprocket over the Driven that I'm accustomed to.

I remember there was a fuss a while back about their sprocket breaking due to too much weight reduction that caused the sprockets to crack or break.

I'm currently looking at the new superlite rs8-r alloy series 520 rear sprocket. Does anyone have any input on this model? Any feedback is greatly appreciated, thanks!

I have used each of those steel rear sprockets on the street for tens of thounds of miles without issue.

Thanks, I ordered a black Driven sprocket and received a gold one. Needed something right away so I got the SuperLite RS8 instead. We'll see how it holds up.

I never heard of any cracking issue with the Drive System sprockets, I'm still running the one that I got in 2011, X2 Ultra-Lightweight .
