all the oilcooled engines have the same exact engine mount locations...just beware as karl stated, the 110 engine is a bit taller and it will be a tight fit into any 600/750 katana frame...forget about getting the valve cover off...it's a task, have done lots of them....
so the 90 gsxr 750 will fit in katana no problems right? that main concern i am in process of trying to get 90 gsxr 750 and i wanna go 1/2 with a friend with a 90 katana and i give him motor i keep chasis and put a motor that is gonna be worked up by dwayne of course so i need to make sure so i can shell out the $$$. MAIN THING IS THE () &%) MOTOR BOLT RIGHT INTO KATANA THATS A 90 600
Is this a straight fit in? if not what would be involved in putting this motor in there and also what would i have to change to get the gsxr1100(1052 or 1127) motor in the 90 gsxr 750. thanks for the info ahead of time for yall
I believe all the Oil cooled gixxers (750s and 1100s from 86 to 92) have swappable bolt in engines. If the 1100 gsxr is not one of those years it won't fit without some mods, but if it is you should have no problem dropping the 1100 engine in the 750 frame.
Now, If I'm not mistaken, I believe that any of the oil cooled katanas will swap easily with any of the oil cooled gsxr's as well, so you should have no problems. (I'm pretty sure but don't quote me... maybe some one else could back this statement up?)
So basically as far as I know most any of the Oil Cooled engines (GSXRs and Katanas that is, should pretty much just bolt right in)
