To change the timing on you digital ignitor to need to find a used mircowave oven.
take the keypad off the microwave and mount it on your tank, there will be a ribbon cable connector, plug that in to slot "B" in the factory ECU than you will be able to input any timing spec you want via the control panel you mounted on the tank

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">This would be true if his bike was digital ready, but as you can see it's a '91 which is strictly analog.

Instead of using the microwave oven parts - which work really well on a digital ready ECU - I'd recommend using an analog device such as an egg timer to modify your ignition timing. It's a fairly easy mod - good luck with it!

well then he shouldn't be telling people he's got a digital ignitor he needs to tell people he has a analog ignitor.

and yes the egg timer mod is the way to go
