I've got a 97 Srad 750 and I'm curious if cutting the pink wire would work. My other bike is
a GSX1000R and as I've made TRE Mod I'm trying to do the same to the '97 GSXR750.
Yes yes I know , 750 is carburated , cant do TRE Mod but isn't the pink wire the one that
restricts the first gears... Any one that knows about the subject??
Thx

not on the 97 models.....

the "pink wire mod" was a mod for the water cooled (93-95) 750's and 1100's... I think...

Anyone who knows then if there is such an anti-wheelie limitation apart from the pink wire...

I cut the pink wire on my '99 750, fitted a cheap resistor to pink half that goes to the ignition box, and then took it to earth. now it wheelies easy just by accelerating in first and will go to 120 mph in 3rd gear if you shut off and open up again in first and change gear in the air.

As 99 750 is fuel injected , ECM has limitations for each gear , you've fooled your ECM tot hink that you're at 6th when actually 1st gear... I don't think that resistor would work on 97. As far as I know 97 was the last year for carburated models...
