About 2 weeks after getting my '88 750 together, it's coming back apart ... but don't worry, it's a good thing! I ran into a friend who ran into money problems (and speeding ticket problems), and sold me his 600-mile-old custom Bandit 1200 motor.
It uses Bandit cases, a 91 Katana 1127 crank and rods, Bandit pistons and cylinders, and an '88 750 "slingshot" head. I took his old bike for a ride yesterday, and bought the motor today. For a mere $1500, got the motor (fresh from top to bottom), carbs, a battery and an exhaust system (Dale Walker Holeshot!). Criminal, ain't it?
I can't friggin wait. Anybody want a low-mileage '89 Katana 750, with GSXR cams?
