Hey everyone.
I have cleaned my old rotors up and noticed that some of the spring washers on the rotor bobbins are cracked.
Is this an issue that would require replacing the rotors?

Those are "clean" enough to suggest that they were made that way. Do you have others that aren't cracked?

Thanks

It took me a full day of cleaning to get them looking like that. it paid off.

The cracked spring washers are random. i.e. not all washers are cracked on the same rotor. I checked the other 89 i just bought and it does not have any cracks in the spring washers.

I might run them as is and change if there is an issue.

I do agree the cracks look very clean and straight. Like they are meant to be there. Just odd that they are random placement and not all are cracked.

I wouldn't worry about it to much,,we used to pound the daylight out of those wave washers to float the rotors on our racebikes,i even went as far as making a big bunch of new stainless steel replacement bushings held on with circlips like the race rotors, they looked great, gave the opportunity to take a skim off rotors on a magnetic surfacer to make them new again, still have some kicking around somewhere in oil cooled gixxer hoard.
