Is the nut counterclockwise or clockwise? What methods did you guys use to get it off. Impact not avilible...

yeah, I haven't been able to get mine off either.....I have had the chain off though and its not helping me. even with an air impact, it wouldn't come off. I am going to take it somewhere and have them do it when they rivet my new chain, then replace the front sprocket after that. I tried every damn way to get that nut off, and it wouldn't budge

it was very hard for me as well . spray a little wd -40 on the bolt and then the sprocket nut . Wait a while

Take off the bolt

next hold that rear break down ( if your solo like me just sit on the bike and hold the break ),and get a super long socket wrench handle to help break the nut and its no problem. If you dont have leverage you will just round the nut or pull a muscle .
