Hey guys, I've tried asking this on my ZX6R Forum, but no one really knows. However,I do see many people running E85 on this forum.
This is for my 2014 Kawasaki ZX-6R 636 ABS, HOWEVER, before you all bash me, I own a 2007 GSX-R 750 also.
Please don't go into how E85 won't give me anything extra, how it's a waste of money, etc...
I'm replacing my stock head gasket with a Kawasaki Racing .50" Thin Head Gasket. That will take my weak low compression of 12.8:1 to 13.9:1 - 14.0:1.
While I'm in there, I plan on sending my cams to WebCam to get them regrinded (no one makes cams for my bike.) I can get a Stage 1, 2 or spend alot more money for a Stage 3, so I'll probably stick with either Stage 1 or 2. Stage 3 is still a possibility, but it requires some extra $. It states you need performance valve springs and high compression pistons. If I do the pistons, I'm definitely shelling out the $1500 for new Corillo Connecting Rods, since people say they are a weak point. Pistons are the same price and I'm just not going to she'll out $3k for pistons & connecting rods. What I'm hoping is the thin head gasket can replace the high comp pistons since both achieve the same thing.
I have a Bazzaz Z-Fi, Z-AFM & Bazzaz Dual Fuel Map Switch Selector.
I also have FTECU ECU Flashing kit so I can flash my ECU whenever I want.
Now the reason why I say FLEX Fuel instead of just E85, is because in 2013, Kawasaki gave the bike a Power Mode Selector; Low Power & Full Power. What this does, is allow me to put 2 entirely different times in the ECU that can be switched on the fly. It's like having 2 separate ECU's as I can have 1 map differ on everything from Ignition Timing, Fuel Map by RPM, Fuel Map by MAF to even my Traction Control...
What I need to know, is what size fuel lines I need to run, what fuel pump, filter and injectors. All obviously ethanol compatible obviously.
I think that about covers it.
Thanks guys!
