Million Dollar Highway
All right man, I wanna do a two or three day ride out to Million Dollar Highway and back to Morrison CO. (Denver). I want to do it sometime in the last two weeks of August, first two weekends of September. And I want to start out on a Thursday morning after rush hour, return Friday evening or Saturday.
Million Dollar highway is located between Durango and Ouray. And it is considered one of the most scenic Highways in North America, with lots of cliffs and twisties. Google Earth and Mapquest quote 5.5 hours on a straight shot out 70 past Glenwood Springs. Although 70 West is nice, Im thinking to many towns with cops. I want to choose a more interesting route with less towns and cops. And more twisties and open straight aways!
I would like to stay at one of Colorado's Hot Springs during the trip. I have been to a couple of springs that were cheap $27 to $35 buxx a night, however your potentially sharing a huge room with ten to 15 beds. Might get near same price in a simple Motel.

looking to go riding next week and need some ppl to go with.. anyone interested?? im located in Greand Junction, thought about taking a trip with the wife out to Ouray, but didn't want to go alone. i got alot of harley friends that would go with me but im getting tired of waiting on them!!! anyone interested let me know!! maybe even meet up somewhere!

Well, I'm in Missouri and there are 4-5 of us comming to colorado to do lots of riding from june 21-28. We are planning on hitting lots of different areas. One of the guys comming with(father-in-law) has maps and plans. Seems to be plenty of great roads. I was hoping to maybe hook up with some of you local riders out there to maybe show us some of your favorite routes out there.

Hey Glowackattack, I fell asleep at the pool all day Saturday & Sunday so the top of my head feels like it was dipped in the lake of fire!
As soon as i can put my helmet on without screaming like a little girl I'll be ready to ride. I'm thinking probably this weekend if your up for it.
