As in work some times or do they just give it up all in one hit. Try to start bike but one can count to 2 after bike is not running and get a back fire like 50 cal.More on this in Lucky Dip Post.

Symptoms could include misfiring, dead cylinders, backfiring, bizarre tach behavior, and countless other things related to how your engine's running. The problem may get worse as the bike warms up. It might not even hold low revs at all.For that money you could put in a full Dyna 2000 system! Intermittent problems with stock ignition usually traced back to a corroded electrical connector . . . go over all your connections.
