Catalytic converter

Where is it located? is it true that it's integrated in the muffler? In that case even fitting a slip-on without remapping would hurt the engine by leaning the a/f ratio right??

l mean, the cat converter is the biggest restriction for the exhaust airflow and the one that creates the most back pressure in the system, so removing the canister alone would turn the whole system into a free flow exhaust and a ECU flash is required

Please let me know your thoughts about this matter, l am worried about installing a slip on without proper ECU tune.

Thank you for your answers, l was just trying to justify Suzuki for that bazooka style exhaust muffler, thinking the cat was built into it, now l realize it makes no sense at all.
