07 750 - All stock besides a K&N.

1st gear clutch up or power from 6K, easy, 11 O-Clock without hesitation (And a bit scary at that low of speed) but I tend to chase wheelies out because it's easy but I'd prefer to be in second.

Second gear, tried all over the rpm, can't seem to get it up, power up, yeah right, clutch up, still nothing just jumps forward.

My options now are a sprocket change, +2 -1 if I'm correct? I'm wondering if my clutch plates are worn though, clutch doesn't slip at all through the gears...just doesn't pick the front end up like I feel it should...yes I've tried all over the rpm band.

Any idea's?

Naw...just rev that bitch higher. Then dump the clutch. :thumbup A 750 will also power up a 2nd gear wheelie if you've got the skillzz. Seriously.

I've seen the video, it's hilarious.

I'm really trying to work on getting better at holding the front wheel though, I wear full gear, run sliders etc and am looking into a cage, also I'm not 21 anymore, far from it, but I love the rush.

I think the sprocket swap will help quite a bit.

Let it be known that my post came before it was posted here. If you cannot power wheelie it in second, you should start making sure that everything is running right with it.

For what it's worth I have never been able to clutch up 2nd gear on my 07 750 and I bought it new.. never had a problem clutching up 2nd on my other bikes
. My 07 felt like it jumps up for a second and then falls to the ground.. almost like it had wheelie control.. never had this problem in 1st..
