In 1st gear, start out going slow (or from a stop), accelerate at a decent pace (but not wide open) up to about 8k. Bump the clutch just a little and hammer the throttle and it will come right up easy and smooth as can be. 7-9k is the sweet spot.

hammer the throttle
my 01 only took a quick dip of throttle in 1st to come up on clutch. even in 2nd i didnt need to hammer it ..

I have parts from an 04 750 in the classifieds !!! Keep me in mind

Depends on how much clutch you use also. I use alot of throttle to bring it up and just a little clutch. Works for me. Obviously you need to take it easy at first and work up to it. Which he has already been trying to do.

He is the one that asked for advice and I don't see anyone else offering much.
