Has anybody came up with a home brew kit???? I've searched and everthing pointed to the APE kit. I can't see paying $300 for something I can make out of ss lines and fittings.

Where do I take the feed from? I've seen some that come from the bottom sides of the motor and some that come from the allen bolt on the side of the valve cover, which one is which????

Cheers

The oil feeds from the allen bolts on the valve cover to the rocker shafts. It's probably not something you can make look as clean as the APE kit. We use them alot and the quality is first rate and they will help solve the rocker arm wear that we all have to put with. You can also get these from Schnitz Racing. I think the price may be a little better.

The one advantage to the kit is that the rear head fitting is tapped for the mid fairing mount. I have seen home brewed kits before using aircraft fittings with the banjo bolt re-threaded to metric. This is one of those things that I would just break down and by.

Yeah, I didn't go for the Earl's cam oil link kit (Earl's UK) because it was 10mm (oilers) vs 8mm (water pumper 1100's). Earl's (and mine) take the oil from the high pressure galley feed (lower). Don't know the oiler internals as to where the top to top feed is from...would that be from the cooler pump feed?

I'd get in on the deal too but, $230 USD is 7 G's CDN
I should be able to put one together for $150-200 CDN, I hope.

The only place I've found to get the banjo's at is Earl's UK. Is there any other place??
