Is there a secret to removing the clutch cover on a 93 750? It has a few stripped bolt holes and trying to pry the cover off seems like there is something catching and needs released. Thanks for any help.
I assume you have disconnected the clutch cable, and allowed the lever to roll out of engagement? Only other things that can catch are bonded gaskets, or 2 seized dowels.
As Wombat said, disconnect the lever from the cable, then the cover should pop right off after all the bolts are removed. If it's sticking a little heat and some gentle persuasion with a soft rubber mallet helps.
It was the cable still attached. I assumed it needed to come off but wasn't sure if something inside might go boing and be hard to reconnect. Thanks a bunch for the help and sorry for the slow response.
