04 05 GSXR 600 / 750 STVA - SECONDARY THROTTLE VALVE ACTUATOR | eBay
ths is the link to the STVA on Ebay
Thanks for the info, I'm guessing ill just put the whole thing on there ( 04 05 GSXR 600 / 750 STVA - SECONDARY THROTTLE VALVE ACTUATOR | eBay ) and see if the c28 goes away. hopefully it does and the bike performs properly, i don't have any experience on those fields that's why i will go the 300 bucks way XD (whole piece)No one knows your skill level. Only you do.
It's been about 5 years since I repaired mine,so have forgotten most of what's involved.
Taking it apart is easy, putting it back together is fiddly. You will need to drill out the rivets
and repair the soldering inside, then reassemble with small(M3?) screws.
It would be good if you have some previous experience soldering on circuit boards and what
to look out for. For example, loose pads and broken traces.
And don't loosen the Sensor. That's set from the factory.
You will need basic hand tools, soldering iron, battery drill/drills etc and preferably a
copy of the workshop manual.
You should find plenty of info on this site and perhaps even youtube on how to do the repair.
But if you're not feeling confident, then perhaps just buy a replacement or get someone with
more experience to help you.
NB. "Man... those things are expensive".
i haven't paid or bought anything yet... what do you suggest? i've checked your profile and seems you are the c28 god. HELP!You paid $225 too much.
of what exactly??
is this the unit that's fubared? #15? resoldering pinouts is a risky proposition IMHO, if it's to get you home or whatever do what ya gotta do but for $86 new why roll with jake parts? www.ronayers.com

yes ive seen tutorials how people fix the false contact thing, whatever i think when i get my paycheck i will take it off my bike and buy ur fixing service on ebay. i can't take it off right now, my 05 gsxr 600 is my only vehicle for transportation. i will see if i can get a ride to work so im able to take it off and ship it to you. i saw your website and read about the TPS calibration, when i jumped wired into dealer mode my bike showed _c28 so that means my TPS is set too low? could that be the problem with revs and when i go full throttle it loses power? could that be causing the fi light?15 are the throttle position sensors. The one to the left is the secondary, the one to the right is the primary.
Broken pins that need re-welded? Sounds like you've been watching the youtube videos of people who need their tools taken away.
yes, i guess im gonna FULL SEND to geeks XD, to get it fixed lol. i'm not a solder and have no solder station XD im 17 and into my second bike with a damaged STVA XDjeez, and Suzuki just went with it eh? then to stick it on the end of the TB rail so you have to buy a new rail to replace seems suspicious..
not sure I can see exactly what the problem is but as an actuator it's a poor design to say the least, all the electrical components should be suspended in an encapsulating gel, sealed off.. pin connectors should be making any and all contacts..
best guess is those pins sticking out make contact when its assembled and now it's iffy or intermittent?
pretty easy to build those points up if you solder at all and have a decent solder station, Geek will hook it up, man, how scary are the newer gixxers?
