I don't have an '05 1k, but I do know where to get them. They are available from Flatout, and many of the other site sponsors: http://www.flatoutmotorcycles.com/eshopp...EEL_HYDRAUL.htm

To answer the second question... steel brake lines are supposed to improve braking performance, since the ruber hose has to flex first, it may feel mushy. With a steel brake line, you squeeze and that pressure is immediately transferred to the calipers.

I did a search and didn't come up with a good answer. What brake lines are you guys putting on your new '05 1K? I want to upgrade to S.S. but not sure what brand or where to get them from.

Thanks for the help.

Chris

Also Goodridge, Earls etc are worth considering.

Go to Spiegler.com , they will allow you to pick whatever color banjo to go with whatever color and type of line that you want. Good service too. What I really like about them is that you can twist the banjo during install to make it fit better. I've had them on both my 01 and 03.
