my friend took his bike to the mechanic and he told him that the bike has something called a revolator or something like the mechanic said it would prevent him from blowing the engine no matter how much you rev the engine is that true ?

"Rev-limiter" is what most modern bike have set to a preset RPM. It can still blow though, If you hit it all the time, it's not great

its to prevent you from revving above a set limit, which has a much greater risk of blowin the motor....not necessarily to prevent it from blowin........

Its not just limited to motorcycles if you have a sport vehicle or a vehicl that has a tachometer the spot where the number are red or written in red is called your red line and this is where your vehicle or cycle is not suppose to be according to manufactures now rev limiters may not go into effect until you hit past that. Once you do then your vehicle or bike may cut power. (like if you killed the power)
