Suzuki NZ and bike mag put on a track day at local track Taupo (http://www.tauporacetrack.co.nz/)

Cost was NZ$50(US$33) if you owned a suzuki or NZ$80 for any other bike.

Also picked up some second hand race fairings for the bikes at before hand at a cost of NZ$250(US$170) each, the 1k fairings are good nick, the 600 need a bit of work

This was my wifes first track day since writing her 02 vtr1000f off november last year. Was good to finally get her back out there, and get some more condifince back in to her and her riding(last month or so only just got her 04 1k[we brought new at end of 05] set up to her liking, which has helped alot)

Was good for me, was just taking it rather easy trying new things, which little hard to try on the road, to get how bike reacts when cranked over in corners and such.

Suzuki also sent a couple of there top NZ riders to help with any questions etc we wanted one was Andrew Stroud (has riden in wsbk, race the britten [http://www.superbikenewzealand.com/aboutandrew.html]) and Craig Sheriffs[Raced local and in Aussing in 600,1000 winning lots of champships)

Looks good. I can't wait to do my first track day. I'm getting all my ducks in a row now. Saving up for full leathers, boots, tires, track fees, etc. It's going to take an investment, but it'll be worth it. Hope you had a great time.
