Hi all, so i got hold of a 97 750 in bits and when i tried to start the thing it would only fire on cylinders 1 and 4, intermittently on 2 and 3. So after a so called mechanic rebuilt the carbs for me i noticed on a check up that the air fuel mix screw was wound right in on 2 and 1/2 turn out on 3. The bike has new plug and coils, all that are within correct tolerance, all fuses checked and good. Could this be the route of not running correctly? All are now set at 2 turns out.
Thanks for any advice.

A wonder it ran at all set like that, have you started her since resetting ? 2.75 on each, or you could start at 2.5 and see how she runs.
Thanks srad600 for the reply, I set them at 2 as thats what i have seen on the interweb, think it was for a 600 though? Will turn them to 2 3/4 then rebuild the bike and see what happens. At the same time i am replacing the vacuum pipe between carbs, to fuel tank and below carbs just to make sure. Hopefully this all works then aytime begins.
Its totaly standard with only 21k on the clock.
