Dear all,

I'm italian, therefore i apologize for my english, but i'm writing on this fourm since i hope to find a solution to my problem. I'm struggling to understand the reason why, when riding my bike, if i hit a pothole, it looks like it suddenly switches off, or, anyway, the bike performs the start check on the dashboard. I've tried to check the relais, fuses, battery, however nothing fixed the issue.
I've a suzuky gsxr 750.
Does anyone have any tips or had the same issue?

Not uncommon. Check your kickstand. When you hit a big bump, it'll bounce down for a split second which is enough to engage the safety interlock. Others have found one of the springs broken or just missing. Others have just bypassed the safety switch and called it a day.

I've actually checked the kicstand already and it didn't help. Do u have any other tips? ?

Yeah for sure i'am looking for help, but i knew it is quite common that this issue arises becasue of the kickstand. Btw, i actually bounded (or blocked, dunno the proper term) to make sure it wouldn't move, had a ride, hit a puthole and had the same problem.

Every electrical component has a test to be performed in your manual.
Could also disconnect temporarily, and jumper wire/hot wire it, and go for a ride.

Could also be short ,or loose connection at any number of harness plugs. Go through them , and inspect for melting, green ,or white corrosion.
Clean, inspect, andfinish by packing each connector with dielectric lube.

Definitely going to be electrical. Start at the battery and start working your way through the system looking for anything loose.

Let's clarify something though. Does the engine die, or just the cluster resetting?

hey i dont have time to read all the replies, but two screws will open your kill switch, its just the starter wire in series. in my 06 750 and 17 750 they are not exactly fantastically connected...and my 06 kill swithch became a little sloppy over time so when you but it back together if you are real spot on about where/how you pinch the two plastic prongs on the button into the assembly you may cure it with that also....kick stand is not it that is a whole lot of travel to get near that plunger. second best guess would be your gear sensor....Ive heard of issues with it but honestly never got into that discussion, but it is tied in with the kill circuit with the kickstand.

uh im guessing he pushed the button and it was smooth. maybe even wiped the chain lube garbage off a lubed it as well. how else would you do it? rear tire on stand bike in gear "rolling" then start whacking all the controls and safety switches involved in that system. who ever said start at the battery must love chasing electrical crap. im sure he was trying to say start at the source, Your ignition fuse, jump to the safety kill items that will not let you start the bike or kill it when you stop whether it is a button you push or the gear/stand safety, etc. i can count the breaks in that system on one hand You got it buddy. seriously get a paddock stand and start tapping stuff to simulate the hit

I said start at the battery because you wouldn't believe the number of times, both bikes and cages, that I've seen a loose connection at a battery be the problem. I've even seen batteries that are damaged and a shock to them shorts them for a split second. Don't rule out the simple stuff.

Hy there ... thank u for your suggestion. I've connected the wires of the switch button, so that the bike is always provided with electricity. Nothing changed, the problem still occur. I've checked the fuses, they're fine, the repair as well. I've also connected the kickstand wires so to bypass the sensor. I have no clue ok what should I do since I've also tried many times to simulate the hit but I haven't noticed anything.

Hy! It is the cluster resetting.

Loose connection between the main harness and front subharness. Seen it many times.
