So I've got a 2006 gsxr 750 with about 11,500 miles on it. Me and the wife were out riding the other day and we stopped at the store like we always do to get something to drink. So we start to leave and I go to crank my bike and it's like the battery is dead. After a while it finally started back. I brought it home and put it on the battery tender and let it charge. When the battery was fully charged I started the bike and let it idle until the fan kicked on then I cut it off and tried starting it back and it did the same thing as it did at the store. Mind you now I still had the battery tender hooked up while I tried starting it back and it still was like the battery was dead. So I let it sit for a while and let it cool down and I tried starting it again and it had no problem starting. Can someone pls help me with this. Thank you for your time!!

Does it have an OEM stator cover with the OEM gasket?

wonder if your starter is experience heat soak? if you can remove the tail so you can get at the starter relay quickly, ride it till its hot, then if it repeats and wont turn over, immediately jump the relay and see if it cranks over, if not I'd say starter..

if it does crank something else is getting hot and not working, swap starter relays at that point, beyond that its wiring and or connectors, main ground.. check your battery leads make sure they are clean and tight..

try this and get back to us
