No, not the rider, the front wheel... :

OK, so it's gonna cost me between $100-$200 to replace it from my local salvage yard... does anyone think I could/should get this thing repaired?

Oh, and while I'm cussing myself and local road-construction crews, I been kinda browsing aftermarket wheels... (why spend $150 when ya can blow some *real* money on dymags, right?) Anyone got any info/experience with the `89 gsxr 1100 rear-wheel replacement up to a 5.5" wide wheel?

*sigh* I *hate it* when this happens...

If you want to up the rear wheel to a 5.5 it should be no problem. I am in the middle of putting '91 1100 wheels on my '86 750 and fitting the rear wheel/tire combo is no problem on mine so it should be even easier on yours. Search this forum for the thread that has my "Its been asked before but:" for a title and you will find a very detailed response from flyinphill as well as a few other helpful sites. Personally, I'd clean that wheel up and leave it alone.

Good Luck.
