Hey everyone.. ive been a user on here awhile(lurking from google even longer).
I tried doing my intro here like 2 years back but for some reason mobile wouldn't allow me so I never introduced myself.
First bike of mine was a k5 600 and then my last gsxr was a k7 750 with around 16,xxx miles but was a theft recovery (Huge fuc**** mistake) I used both as dailies since at the time was living back home in Monterey, Ca and we dont have to deal with snow or insane amounts of rain when the season comes. I learned a lot of things about bikes and proper riding etiquette and techniques owning those bikes and accumulating over 30 or so thousand miles from both. I sold the 600 when I decided to move back to the big island of Hawaii then a few years later I came back home and got a decent deal on the 750.

A bit about the bikes-
The 600 had a stupid ass wiring issue with the rear blinkers and I want to say was cut into at rear that I didn't notice or look at until I got home with the bike and already spent the 3k for it but all in all it was good bike that treated me well and the only maintenance and up keep I did on the bike was replace front and rear tire along with chain adjustment. Sold it for like 2700 over a year later
The 750 was my BABY! I got it and it had been a theft recovery and was clearly abused.. No farings..No ignition..Charging system issues.. Wiring harness and ignition- Electrical related issues. Got it from a friend who didn't know why it was dying and wanted it to gone to fund his rx7 build at the time. I got it on payments for cheap and was confident I could figure out dying issue.. So the day I got the bike I went and bought a battery and thought I fixed dying problem.. died on me a few times so I dug on this forum and learned about the 3 things that make up the charging system. Replaced the Rec..Stator and figured since I had just bought a new battery id be good after that I Immediately inspected fork seals.. tires.. brakes..chain..and the exhaust leak I was smelling.. I replaced rear tire with the Q3 (Personal favorite) I moved to the leak and found out the headers had missing bolts.. so I went to home depot armed with some info I got from this site and one of the bolts.. found them got what I needed and went home. I tried taking some of the other ones off and they were rusted so bad that the allen wouldn't fit and were basically stripped so I had went back and got what I needed +3. Got them all out and new ones installed, fixing the leak. I started working on the appearance so I bought some Chinese abs farings for like 470 or so from ebay and had them slightly customized for me.. I also bought smoked blinkers/mirrors for the front and new integrated blinkers for the rear. The Chinese fairings were waaaaaaay better than I expected but even then.. I still had to use a step up and a few zip ties in a few places unfortunately but overall that bike looked and ran really well when I had got those things fixed.. I eventually went to jail for stupid driving shit and a month later I came home and got on my bike to make a right turn on to freeway and laid it down. A bit about the fall(I hadn't rode in over a month and was ECSTATIC about riding! I get my sena and phone paired back up, Music going im feeling my self.. match revving slightly throwing it into the few corners it is to the freeway. Enjoying life! I come to the the turn that I took everyday multiple times a day and didn't account for the weather(misty-foggy-cold) my tire not warming up (only half a mile from my house)that blows onto the on ramp from the sand hills and beach that's RIGHT there. Anyway, I matchrev… matchrev again drop into the corner and am good! So, the bike and I start to come up and I get on it when im almost completely straight again and bam!! rear end slid out and I went down hitting my elbow and sliding a bit. Walked away with only a few scratches on my matt mladin joe rocket jacket and a slight scuff on my AF-1 duck shoes(Regular Air Force 1's that I used for going to snow and cold weather) The bike slid for about 20 ft with sparks coming from it.. grinding crankcase cover down and oil spilling out.. Not working for a month or so and having a new born son I couldn't bring myself to pay for a new cover when I could just sand and jb weld it.. so that's what I did.

The bike ran fine and problem free after that surprisingly and then one night im at my moms house and my brother asked to go the bank down the nst.. I tell him yea just don't take my shoei because it has a dark visor(Trying to eliminate potential hazards) and he's like I wanna listen to music.. im like whatever just hurry up.. I fall asleep wake up about an hr later he still not back and Immediately knew something was wrong.. called hospitals and only one said they couldn't say if he was there or not.. called the local police that know me and they said he was at the hospital because he had totaled my bike while running. So that was the end of my 750 and my shoei. Glad it was the end of something materialistic and not my brother.
I attached a pic of the 600 and my friend's mx-5 on top of laureles grade in Carmel valley and some pics from bike week 2k18 on cannery row in Monterey, Ca View attachment 570225 View attachment 570226 View attachment 570228 View attachment 570225 View attachment 570226 View attachment 570228 View attachment 570229 View attachment 570230

@sradmad600 @8you4t Thanks guys. "You don't get a second chance to make a first impression"

Ive seen some dudes on here and other forums make themselves look dumb, arrogant, immature, Along with some other things. I wanted to walk in the correct way and let you yall know who i am and a little about me. A reason why i kinda went so in detail was because i seen (Not sure if it was here or the cbr site) The 11sec mustang BOY and how he ruined his career on here in matter of a few short replies and it all stemmed and arose from his intro when he said "Mechanically inclined" lmfaooooooo!! Then got offended when people called him on his shit! Just be real nd tell it how it is!! From what ive learned on these forums after searching and searching and searching for info and help i've needed is.. Most people on here just want to shoot the shit, Make friends in different parts of the world and help with what they can by passing down knowledge to people who seem worthy of it.. Not ass hats who talk shit to admins when they're told "you're not gonna last here" I took it as admin was looking out! He clearly got offended and the shit storm ensued! lol

I've learned ignorance is bliss and common sense isn't so common these days. Unfortunately

Its was sad to see what was happening to the youth but SOME of the kids that just graduated and in HS now have parents that are slightly older then i am and we aren't having it and instilling in them proper work ethics and attitudes and understanding that you've gotta work and earn the shit you desire and want in life. Thanks for taking the time and greeting me yo.
Ride safe and keep those eyes scanning!
