What I warm my my 01 busa up I give it throttle it spudders and pops back fires what could be the cause or the fix
It could be a number of things. Is it possible to make a short video of the problem? Others with more experience may be more inclined to help if they can hear and see it as well.
I would start by checking the condition of the spark plugs. Usually a good indicator of the running condition of the engine. Plenty of information on the internet of what good and bad spark plugs look like. While you're there, just replace them. Cheap and easy enough.
Is it happening at idle? or high rpm? or Hot? or cold?
Is this how you bought it? When did it start doing it?
Are you getting any error codes?
Others have mentioned to do a fuel flow test on the fuel pump, clean/replace the internal filter, clean the tank, check TPS, check operation of STVA. Have you done any of these?
nake sure your gas hasnt rotted, I had a tabnk ful rott onthe busa in just 4 months.. same thing, ran like crap, of course I am like man it needs a TB sync worse than ever, checked for vacuum leaks, all sorts of crap, then I smelled the gas.. putrid
Well I’m gonna take tank off drain it clean it and check filter on it go from there migh go head and change plugs again since I’m therenake sure your gas hasnt rotted, I had a tabnk ful rott onthe busa in just 4 months.. same thing, ran like crap, of course I am like man it needs a TB sync worse than ever, checked for vacuum leaks, all sorts of crap, then I smelled the gas.. putrid
If it's really dirty in there, you might also want to back flush the high pressure filter as well. I heard that can cause problems too.Well I’m gonna take tank off drain it clean it and check filter on it go from there migh go head and change plugs again since I’m there
i took video of it it’s back firing out of the left side pipeIf it's really dirty in there, you might also want to back flush the high pressure filter as well. I heard that can cause problems too.
My '06 Busa back when it was N/A did the bogging down on WOT and then a burst of speed when letting it off at ~75% throttle. Turned out the in-tank fuel filter was the culprit, all clogged up. Recommend getting a new filter, or drill that one out and install an in-line filter, which is cheaper and easier to take care. As for the backfire, as mentioned before, that could be a throttle body or bodies that are out of sync or fouled spark plug(s).
