So after reading all the good and bad reviews on auctmarts I decided to take a chance and buy a set of fairings. After a couple weeks my box arrived in really good shape considering how far it traveled. My bike is in pieces right now cause I wanted to make a whole project of this so I didnt get around to installing until today. When installing the oem screws in the nose to connect the ram air covers the part the screw goes into snaps off without any effort after only getting a couple threads in. I contacted auctmarts and this is the response I got.

Sorry to hear this, the best we can do for you is to sell the nose fairing to you at a discount. $100 USD shipped.

We believe this would be a fair solution for both parties because you broke the nose fairing.

Thanks, auctmarts

Are you freaking kidding me! Why would I buy another part from you if the one I just bought broke while installing oem screws! I will be filing a dispute with Paypal and get my money back!

Maybe you were being hamfisted? You can bet your ass that Suzuki wouldn't give you a free part either if you broke something installing it. And an OEM fairing part would be a whole lot more expensive.

If the part had shown up damaged I could see the issue but YOU broke it...

Also, if you file a dispute for the full amount of a full set of fairings without sending everything back, you are a fucking thief.

...and the parts didn't line up or what? I'm assuming you crashed? Did you change the fairing stay? Because they get tweaked easily - so that fairing parts don't line up...

Agreed, things don't just snap off because you put a bolt in a hole. Try not being a neanderthal and things may become easier.

And when you mount fairings, you put in all the bolts loosely at first instead of tightening them from the beginning so you avoid ending up with parts under tension. That goes for OEM parts too.

Come on guys give me some credit. I got two or three threads into the part in the point of the nose and it connects the to covers. I would not say anything like this if it were my fault and looking at the part looks like it was cracked to begin with cause it isnt black where the break is its silver like the paint.

I mean I may be crazy but I am not seeing any fresh black abs plastic. All I see is silver.

And the fitment only on the nose is horrible!

And as you can see in the pics I didn't install on the bike I was test fitting before installing because once the parts are installed on the bike Paypal voids the warranty. I am no thief and don't appreciate being referred to as one, I only expect the parts I purchase to hold the high quality that the seller states on the site.

I side with you on the fact that with the overspray it does look like it was already cracked, however why didn't you inspect the parts before fitting?

Take a screw and go round each threaded fitment and pre-screw it, that way you know the screw will go in once it is offered up to the bike.

sounds like you rushed through the install. You should have taken more time. If Auctmarts were to just give out free parts because people broke them they wouldnt be in business now would they?

very marginal quality stuff compared to oem.. but it also costs a margin of oem stuff, so i guess that is to be expected..

Thats what I was doing when it showed a break. I was in my living room just testing fitment of the new parts together. If you look at the pics its in my lap on my couch.

Why would I rush through an install of parts and potentially risk breaking the $600 kit that I waited 3 weeks for? My bike isnt even here it is being powder coated. I wont be able to install on yhe bike until Tuesday but time is running out on buyer protection so I needed to verify the parts were good.

If it was cracked, it was damaged during shipment. My left side fairing came broken, and I got a refund of $150 from auctmarts to get a local plastic weld and repaint done.

PS: threatening auctmarts with negative ebay feedback is like holding a gun to someones kid, they fold so easily, and you generally get what you want.

By the way I am a certified mechanic and have been trained to install and remove such parts as this. I am no novice I know what I am doing.

was the fit for your kit one of the ones they claim as "perfect fit"?

You get what you pay for. When you deal with cheap chinese stuff you should expect that you'll receive flimsy, brittle, ill-fitting crap.

auctmarts is "high quality"? since when?

i had a set of their fairings on my old cbr 1000rr (#52 James Toseland SBK). fitment was an 8, paint was a 7 (1 coat of clear). i used ALL new hardware as most of the oem wouldnt work. but for the 450 i paid for it, it was worth is considering i sold the oem for 1000.00. i had a couple mounting tabs break loose from the bodywork, i just duraglassed them back in place, the i also duraglassed all the other mounting tabs in. rode for 9000 miles and no issues, other than somce slight melting on the lower near the header.

Yes it was a perfect fit series. And they have since said that they were sending a new piece but have yet to seen anything or heard anything either.
