anyone from around the st helens area?
warrington, widnes etc
am on a K1 750
put a pic up, it`s got a few mods etc, i like the colour,
used to have a red/white 89/90 750 slingshot as my 1st bike!
thats why my mates called me mad rick, i took her the alps this year, not done a track day yet.
hi Dave, thankx mate.
glad to have a fellow gixxer owner close by.
am over that way often,
usualy head to ruthin from here, then take in the twisty bits,
apart from the alps, wales are the best road around, and close by.
bala is only 70 mile from me..
hay, Dave,
i bet you know some good routes around wales.
not sure when up that way next,
as winter closes in i have to work more weekends,
am a plasterer, winter is shite for us on the sites.
me and some guys i know are going;
rossendale bike show on the 25th sep
here`s the web site check it out for yourself mate looks like a fun day out.
my mate jamie is a bit of an activist. Ha Ha
he goes all the big meets and marches,
so i have to meet up with him at rivington barn nr chorly
for the big ride in!
will post some pics up when i het back for all the guys and girls who cant make it.
ps i was going for the 1k K2 but fell for my 750,
better choice anyway, as i moved on from a P6 ZX7-R
45kg lighter made all the differantce to my riding enjoyment
and i was`nt ready for a 1000 anyway.
Yeah the twisty bits are nice...Have a run that we normally use which covers Horseshoe Pass and a few of the other twisties around there down to Bala/Betwsy-Coed.
No can do 25th, unfortunately, as I'll be up in Scotland...
I have moved 'up' from a GSXR1100WT to my 1K2 - what a difference, especially in the handling
i love around the Bala/Betwsy-Coed way,
exept the cops are allways on the road between bala and Betwsy-Coed. waiting for our load canned bike caining it!
cant afford a 1000 yet, could of had one when i got this last year, but i was`nt ready for a 1000,
moved on from a P6 ZX7r, and after that over weight thing to 45kg less gsxr 750 was awsome!
but i fell for this bike now and want to get more bhp,
just put a bid in for some 1000 cams to do a bit of a re work, need press on cam sprockets now.
then i need someone to put them in, well one in and swop my other cam ti inlet,
just picking up the parts so i can get it done over winter,
want a full exhaust system,
so i keep checking out ebay for that..
rick
nice bike rick , i've got a k3 750 , recently rode a k5 thou , very impressive but not a world away from mine, so i decided not to upgrade
sounds like you've got some major plans for yours , i mainly ride around wales as i live here abergele to be precise , you may have been to woods the bike shop in abergele or come back from betws this way , some good rides out this way , just wish the weather was better
hi guys,
just done my gixxer 1000 downpipes and link pipe.
was going to test ride her today..
pissing down rain, good old british weather eh?
seems to rev more freely but, still not took her out.
going to book it in at `motrac` elesmere port for a dyno custom map.
got the cams, waiting for the cash to buy adjustable cam sprockets.
but am in no rush to get this done.
i think i would love the K5 1000 but, am still more interested in making my 750 a bit special 1st.
i like the idea of surprizing people with my little 750 ha ha
but am still learning to ride, need a few track days, just dont want to take my bike on track,
oulton park is only 30mins away so i realy want a cheap track bike,
hopefully i`ll get the funds together.
but for us uk guys if looks like we`ll all be doing track days before long, the govement is taking the piss with the anti biking syndrome.
"gixxeruk"
been down that way but not to that bike shop.
baglux is down that way, got my seat covers from them.
i used to do all my holidays at `barmouth`
we had a static at islawford caravan park for 15years, some of the best times i ever had in wales.
love the roads and the people, HATE THE COPS but who doent?
thinking of going down 1tooth on front sprocket, any of you guys done this?
i know loads of the us guys are mod mad, guess were a little behing here, we just get a faster bike,
but am really getting into modding, learning loads, and its great fun scraping your knuckles trying to bolt up the downpipes!!!
LOL
rick
come on guys and gals,
get your pics of your bike posted, want to see what you are riding...
Hi everyone. I'm from Liverpool is that near enough. Went to have a look at a GSX_R600Y and fell in love with it. Picking it up in a couple of weeks when the funds allow. Returning to biking after a couple of years off two wheels. Like to take an active part in motorcycle sport. A bit too old now to be a racer although was a sidecar passenger in my younger days. Have done marshalling at Darley Moor and Oulton Park.
Hi Guys am i bit further North Kirkby Lonsdale, Great place to live roads are sweet, i run an 86
R750R Limited Edition. winter is closing in, crap and clocks go back tonight.
just remeber the new Speed cameras on the M6 near juntion 36 are those bastards that time over distance and in this case it's about 6 miles.
I am from Liverpool I picked up my GSXR600 SRAD last night just trying to sort a few things out on it an get used to it, feels different from a VFR400 haha
Any UK GSXR forums anyone can recommend, or that aren't graveyards?
This one seems busy, but the info is often so USA-biased it's as good as useless. to me.:crying:
Could really do with a UK based website that will know more about more UK-based products/suppliers/info.
Hi all, I’m trying to track down my old 1990 GSXR-750. In the UK its reg plate number is G595YNK
If the owner or anyone that knows the owner of it happens to be on here, I’d love to get in touch with them
It used to be the blue color scheme, but according to the DOT it’s now red. It’s also now...
Hello
I'm really struggling to get a quote on a new GSXR1000R in London, has anyone had success with any specialist brokers? I've tried all the usual, Carol Nash, Bikesure etc. They just don't seem to like the postcode of my garage. I have the option to store the bike at my work, 1/2 a mile...
