Any problems with putting a \'91 motor into an \'86 frame?

I was just making sure that it is ok to put a '91 engine into an '86 frame. Are there any considerations, or does it just bolt right in? Will my carbs and exhaust fit?

everything should be the same, as far as i know...86 clutch is hydraulic, i think 91 is cable?? but conversion wont be a prob if youve got all the bits there to go either way.

Seriously? The '91 clutch is cable operated? Well that's a problem then. Are you sure it is a cable clutch?

His other postings say that he is dealing with a 750 though.

Yeah, sorry. It's a 750. Good research, Astroman76. So are both clutch systems interchangeable with both engines? Can I hook my hydraulic set-up up to the 91?

You have to swap over your oil pan & pick up, also the generator pick up coil. The carbs would be a plus or you will need to swap the intake manifolds.
The clutch Hyd/Cable conversion is very easy, the cable is the way to go.
