I have a hard anodized AFAM sprocket with over 10000km on it. I don't drive hard though.

i just purchased steel front and a hard anodized alum AFAM sprockets...very nice and looks to be good quality. I hear alota good stuff about their products!

I'm going to go with just changing out the front sprocket -1 and retaining my stock chain.
I'm looking at the Vortec sprocket and I need to know which sprocket will fit my stock chain.
Do I order the 525 sprocket or the 520?

well are you using your stock chain? then its 525, unless you bought the thing used and it came with a 520.

i use steel all around usually for mine. but if you do swap just b/c the chain is wore out, u can find a 520 set up sometimes cheaper then stock.

the most ive been able to get out of an alum. is about 10k miles. steels last for a long time. personally i used sprocket specialties. now im using pvm due to my rims.
