Yes you are dead right, it's a standard, short K arm with full bracing and it's a professional job. I guess that it must have been done by a reputable company but there are no stamps or anything on the bracing to say who did it.
I'll get a load of pics of it soon. i don't have a digital camera myself so I'll get my brother to sort out some more pics.

I had my swingarm braced by RGV Steve in Florida for less than $200. If you show him a picture of what you want done I'm sure he can do it.
You need to be careful when bracing swingarms, though. Top braced swingarms might hit the battery on full compression; bottom braced swingarms might not clear the brake caliper/torque arm. Make sure you have the dimensions right.
